Year In Pictures: 2010/09/09 - The musical treat

I never tire of this old family recipe. The ingredients are consistent from batch to batch, but I tend to vary the quantities of each one depending on my mood at the time. Thus no two pots are ever quite the same. There is no point in trying to share the recipe since it changes so much from batch to batch, but I can tell you that it contains (obviously) baked beans, sliced weiners, chopped onions, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and Molasses. Sometimes if we have them, and I'm feeling frisky, I will add a can of sliced mushrooms as well.

I was still a bit zoned out from the road yesterday, so I forgot all about my picture until it was already past bed time. I considered a few lame picture options and packed my camera around the house while I tried to make up my mind. I wandered into the change room and Jaws began making a pest of herself, demanding attention. I flopped down on the floor to pet her for awhile and noticed one of atara's shoes sitting there. I thought, "Uh, hm. That might look kind of artsy in black and white." so I set the camera down on a book and set the timer. It doesn't look artsy, it looks like a shoe. Ah well. It was late and I wanted to go to bed, so I just ran with it.

We stopped in a liquor store in Duluth on our way down to the lake and I grabbed a bottle of tequila. We have rather limited varieties of tequila available to us up here, so I figured it might make a nice treat. I pained over them for about ten minutes before I finally grabbed a very middle-priced one from the lower shelf. I didn't have my pocket tequila guide with me, so I don't know if this is one of the better brands or if I picked up the one that all the guides list as, "Overpriced swill - avoid." If it's bad then I'll just have to drink it faster (the first couple of glasses tend to numb the senses so that the rest taste better).
